California and Hawaii May 16-24, 2015

May 16th 2014 we were excited to head home to California to see our Tonne family. Thorsten was super excited to see His Omi and Opa Tonne and Great Grandmother (Nanas Meyer), Great Great Grandmother (Oma Hinrichs), and Greatest Great Auntie (Helga).

Mom and Dad were excited to see the family too. But they were even more excited to leave Thorsten with his grandparents for a couple days while they headed to Oahu, Hawaii with Uncle Yogi (Jorgen Tonne) and his girlfriend Chelsea Bailey.

Nicholas bought me a beautiful rose gold plumeria necklace to put my pearl in!

We had a ton of fun at the Polynesian Cultural center. 

The shows were awesome and the food was fabulous!

We saw several Turtles....a couple at turtle bay....but the neatest was when we saw the two out in the open water....one of which was a baby!

Thorsten had a great week with Omi and Opa. He went to the Zoo, Beach, and even Road the Sprinter. The sprinter was a huge highlight for him because of his love for Thomas the train and trains in general.  He had so much fun he wasn't even worried about mom and dad being gone. He had fun spending time with Nanas, Oma, and Bella (Nanas Dachshund)too.

He made a friend at the zoo and wanted to hold his hand! They thought he was a little weird...LOL!

Korina and Nicholas had a fabulous time with Jorg and Chels in Hawaii. They spent time at beautiful beaches, swam and snorkeled on the north shore with beautiful fish, saw several Turtles and other rare fish. Spent a day at the Polynesian Culture Center with a fabulous luau and show, Saw the Lei Hawaii Temple, went to the Dole and had yummy pineapple, and had lots of relaxation. We had so much fun it was so hard to leave.

When we got back to California we got to spend some good quality time with the family on Saturday.
