Yellowstone May 2, 2015

Thorsten's First Trip to YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK!

Today we decided to take a family drive and go check out Yellowstone. We hadn't been back to the park since we left in 2012. We were excited to spend the day with Thorsten and check out some animals before the busy season began in the park. From living in Montana Prior we had learned that May was the best time to go to the park and see Bears. It is right when they come out of Hibernation  and usually you can see the babies. Not only bear cubs but the baby buffalo, elk, deer, and so on. so it is Korina's favorite time of the year to go in the park!! Today we were fortunate to see 2 Grizzly Bears. One was debatable whether or not it was a Black bear. The bears were both a good distance away. But it was fun to see!!
Grizzly Bear

Grizzly Bear #2 She had just crossed the road about 15-20 minutes before we got there. The photographers that were there said she kept crossing the road to go down to the river to fish!

On the way into the park we saw a good amount of deer and buffalo

Some Nice biker boys stopped and took our picture for us right before we went into the park! We hadn't been in the East or North East Gates yet. But today we decided to do the East gate. We new there was a good chance the North East gate wouldn't be open yet.

These are some more pictures of the first Bear we saw.

We didn't see as many buffalo today as we usually see. But there were some buffalo really close to Old Faithful. You can see one of them in the background behind the boys.

More pictures of the second bear we saw. We watched him walk all the way across the valley.
